The Chinese Embassy’s aide-mémoire of April 14 relating to proposed principles of cooperation in the Far East has been read with care.
[Page 534]It is believed that the Chinese Embassy is fully aware of this Government’s attitude on the subject of cooperation and parallel action. Clear indications of this attitude are given in the texts of documents which have been released to the press by the Department of State and by the White House.
