The Ambassador in the United Kingdom ( Kennedy ) to the Secretary of State

505. The Foreign Office informs me that the British Ambassador at Warsaw has been advised by Beck64 that he was authorized to state Great Britain can count on the assistance of Poland if she is involved in a war with Germany by reason of an attack made on any of the [Page 169] smaller western European countries such as Belgium or Holland. At Beck’s request this communication is not to be made public.
