You are authorized, in accordance with the request of the company, to make an approach to the Japanese Embassy in Peiping along the lines of the Department’s 332, September 22, 8 p.m., to Tokyo, provided you and the Ambassador feel that such an approach might serve some useful purpose.

Inform Tokyo and Tsingtao of any action taken.
