“January 15, 5 p.m. Our January 10, 11 [10] a.m.16 The Foreign Office informed us that the War Department has today informed military authorities both at Shanghai and Nanking to refrain from irregular entry of American property.
Please repeat to Nanking, Hankow, and Department. Grew.”
