908. Doctor Lee of Wusih telephoned from Wusih at noon stating that American Church Mission, Saint Andrew’s Hospital and a separate compound containing church building both marked clearly with American flags painted on roof were bombed this morning by Japanese planes. Five American residents safe.

Shanghai please inform mission headquarters. Repeated to Tokyo.
