Associated Press despatch in New York Times this morning reads as follows: “The Banco do Brazil announced today that effective immediately it will not grant sterling exchange for imports from Great Britain and will grant only 46 percent of dollar exchange on imports from the United States.” Please inform Department at once as to the truth if any there is in this report.
