The Secretariat informs me that at the request of the Brazilian representative the meeting of the Leticia Committee has been adjourned pending the outcome of the present phase of negotiations in Rio which Mello Franco characterizes as showing promise of success. Both parties to the dispute have agreed to this procedure having received encouraging news of negotiations.
