The Netherlands Legation to the Department of State

The Netherland Legation has noticed that a bill (S. 314) has been introduced by Senator LaFollette relating to the payment of advance wages and allotments in respect to seamen on foreign vessels and making further provision for carrying out the purpose of the Seamen’s Act, approved March 4, 1915,2 which bill is a copy of the bill introduced during last session by the same Senator and passed by the Senate on April 24, 1928.
The Royal Legation has the honor to inform the State Department that the remarks made on behalf of the Netherland Government by its note of May 3, 1928, No. 1413,3 are in the same way applicable to the new bill.
