216. Reference my despatch number 1906, May 19th, relative costs of Army of Occupation. I am in receipt of note from Foreign Office dated to-day stating that French suggestion that Allied representatives in Paris should be charged with examining the question has been accepted by the other Governments and the French Government consequently intends to call meeting as soon as possible. Copy and translation will be forwarded by next pouch.68
