The Acting Secretary of State to the Mexican Ambassador ( Bonillas)

Excellency: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your excellency’s notes Nos. In reply I have the honor to inform you that I have sent copies of the translation of your notes to the Secretary of War and the Attorney General, for their information and for such action as they may deem appropriate in the premises.
