Mr. Uhl to Sir Julian Pauncefote.
Washington, June 1, 1895.
Excellency: Referring to our recent correspondence touching the enforcement by the United States and Great Britain of the Paris award [Page 630] within the award area, I have the honor to request to be furnished with a copy of the regulations, if any, applicable to British sealing vessels for the season of 1895.
As time presses, I have further to ask that you communicate this request to Her Majesty’s Government by telegraph, and that you kindly advise me of the probable time when I may expect to receive the text of the regulations in question.
I have, etc.,
Acting Secretary.
