Mr. Adee to Mr. Eustis.

No. 464.]

Sir: I append on the overleaf a copy of Mr. Uhl’s telegram of the 3d instant, in relation to the case of John L. Waller.

Subsequently, John M. Laugston and Paul Bray called at the Department and reported that they had been advised that Mr. Waller was ill in prison. I am, etc.,

Alvey A. Adee,
Acting Secretary
