My Lord: Referring to your note of the 11th of last month, relative to the appeal in the case of the steamer Pearl, I have the honor to inform your lordship, [Page 669] in reply, that the Attorney General will examine the facts, with a view to enable me to decide upon the propriety of dismissing the appeal, as soon as he shall have received the proper record.
