My Lord: I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 9th instant, relative to the capture of the British schooner Mount Blanc, of Nassau, by the United States steamer Octorora. Having invited the attention of the Secretary of the Navy to the subject, I now have the honor to enclose to you a copy of his reply.
