Termination of Mission: Normal relations interrupted on May 15, 1963- Commissioned during a recess of the Senate; recommissioned on January 30, 1962, after confirmation. Relations had not yet resumed when Thurston left post on May 26, 1963. On June 14, 1963 the Government of Haiti requested Thurston’s recall, and he did not return to post.
