World Wide Diplomatic Archives Index: Colombia

Legislation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs library has documents from 1966. These are not open to the public but requests for an exception may be addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Older material has been transferred to the National Archives and it is available to the public.

Location

The Archivo General de la Nación is located in central Bogotá.

Procedures

Researchers must request a credential by sending a personal letter, a letter from the representing institution, two photographs and a photocopy of a passport to the National Archive.
