Sir: Supplementing my letter of the 17th,
referring to the recruitment in the United States for the Polish Army, I
have the honor to enclose herewith copy of a communication which has
just reached

the Embassy from
the Polish National Committee, confirming the understanding which I had
with Mr. Dmowski by telephone, and from which letter it appears that
orders have been given to telegraph to the United States to discontinue
at once all recruiting for the Polish Army.

Dear Sir: The President Dmowski duly
transmitted us your honored of yesterday’s date as well as the
telephonic communication of January 23rd for immediate
execution.
Hereby we take the liberty to inform you that the necessary
instructions have been given on 23rd January with regard to sending
a telegram to the United States in order to discontinue at once all
recruiting for the Polish Army.
