CO–24. Editorial Note
By an exchange of notes signed at Bogotá, April 5 and 7, 1960, and entered into force on the latter date, the United States agreed to transfer to Colombia on a five year loan basis, renewable for an additional five year period, one destroyer pursuant to the provisions of Public Law 85–532, an act authorizing the transfer of naval vessels to friendly foreign countries, enacted July 18, 1958. The destroyer loan agreement between the United States and Colombia was amended by an exchange of notes signed at Bogotá, July 25, 1960, and entered into force on the same date. For text of the notes amending the agreement, see 11 UST (pt. 2) 2102.
