260. My No. 254, September 29, 8 p.m. The Council today adopted the resolution providing for investigation of Chinese charges of use of poison gas by Japanese without change in text already reported. British stated that this was best method of inquiry at least in first instance and China in accepting resolution reserved the right to ask Council to take further action if present procedure proved to be ineffective. Council session closed tonight.
