Washington, November 12, 1929.
Sir: I desire to acknowledge receipt of your note of November 11th and to inform you that it is altogether agreeable to this Government that the first session of the London Naval Conference should be held on the morning of Tuesday, January 21st next.
I desire also to assure you that, in conformity with previous practice, this Government has no intention of appointing technical experts as delegates to the conference. All such necessary experts will naturally be attached to the delegation in an advisory capacity.
