President of Liberia issued a proclamation yesterday afternoon practically in the terms of the Legation’s June 15, 10 a.m., and [Page 471] made application to any transaction affecting the property of German firms in Liberia subsequent to last May 8 with heavy penalty attached, also formally notifying German subjects that they must leave Liberia at the earliest possible moment.
As soon as advised, war will be declared and deportation effected.
