Termination of Mission: Notified the Government of Colombia that he would have no further relations with it December 10, 1866- Burton did not present credentials addressed in 1861 to the President of the Granadian Confederacy, but eventually did present credentials addressed in 1863 to the President of the United States of Colombia.
