World Wide Diplomatic Archives Index: Uruguay

Legislation

The Foreign Ministry of Uruguay has an archive of diplomatic history. Documents are open to the public after a period of 30 years with exceptions for national security, the integrity of Uruguayan foreign policy and the safety of an individual. Appeals to view material produced within the last 30 years should be directed to the Foreign Ministry.

Location

The Archive of Diplomatic History of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located in Montevideo at the Palacio Santos.
