All public archives should be made available to the public 25 years after their creation unless the creating agency chooses to keep them classified.

Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation: Department of National Archives of Nigeria, Radio House, Garki, Abuja, Nigeria.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Maputo Street, off Abidjan Street, Wuse Zone 3, P.M.B. 130, Garki, Abuja.

Procedures

Researchers should contact first the National Archives and then the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inquire about access to relevant diplomatic archives.
